Yes we are a little late to post this one up, but here goes anyway. As you can tell by the name this is first and foremost a Fishing Show, but there are a lot of boats here as well. And since the show is within a couple of miles from 3 electric-only lakes we have many potential customers right around the corner. If you live on one of these lakes you most likely received our mailing last week. Hope you can come out and talk ELECTRIC MOTORS with us! We are right by the gate as soon as you enter the show. |

Announcement: EPower Marine becomes a dealer for Electric Yacht! |

In addition to our wide selection of electric outboard motors EPower Marine now offers electric inboard packages from Electric Yacht out of Golden Valley, MN. These systems are engineered and designed for straight forward installation into a boat already setup for inboard power (driveshaft, stuffing box, etc) , either new construction or to replace an ailing internal combustion engine. With power ranging from 5kw-20kw we’ve got the right Electric Yacht system for your 20’-45’boat, and we can do the conversion for you. |

The City of West Palm Beach has just finished an extensive redesign of the waterfront, and the show has been reconfigured to take advantage of the new docks and layout. You will find EPower Marine at the "Evernia Field Booth #334" which if you don't know is by the BIG BUDWEISER TRUCK towards the southern side of the show. You can't miss it! And if you happen to pass the truck on your way over, well, don't come emptyhanded. We won't have any boats this year but the display of electric outboard motors will simply baffle you. |

Key West Boat Show |
Ok, so this is not the largest boat show in the world, or Florida even. But it is in Key West, so we drag ourselves all the way down there and put on a good effort! Electric boats and motors? We got 'em. Did we say that it's in Key West? The picture below was taken from our booth location last year, so you get the idea. Some work, lot's of play, let's call it a 'working vacation'. If you do plan on attending, don't expect too much, and just let it roll, baby. You're as far away from it all as you can get and still be called for Jury Duty. |

If you came to the show then you saw the new 'Travel 1003' motor from Torqeedo. It's the latest in their ever expanding line of high power electric outboards. The company's continuous drive to improve its already technologically-advanced outboards won it the Environmental Award, a category in which only the judges can submit entries. The Innovation Awards are organized by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and judged by Boating Writers International (BWI). |

We like to try new stuff, so we are giving the Martin County Nautical Flea Market and Seafood Festival a shake. It’s held up un Stuart, Florida at the Martin County Fairgrounds (where else?). If you happen to not find a boat that you like, at least you’ll be able to kick back and have a great seafood meal. This show runs Fri-Sat-Sun so there is plenty of opportunity to stop by, buy a motor, and grab some 'chowda'. Yeap, we are from Boston. |

Summer 09 |
EPower Marine gets an additional tow vehicle |
Spring was super busy with lots of motor packages getting shipped out all over the country, but once summer arrives in South Florida things tend to slow down (and heat up!) a bit. We have needed an additional tow vehicle for some time, so we decided to stimulate the economy and buy one! It's a new Dodge 2500 with a big Cummins Diesel under the hood (good for that biodiesel that we like so much). Now I can tow up to 13k lbs, so these boats are probably going to get allot bigger! |

December 7th |
Boynton/Delray Holiday Boat Parade |
An annual holiday favorite that drew 59 decorated boats participating in the 10 mile parade this year. You couldn't miss our Lear demo boat, the 'Sound of Silence' all lit up! The weather was perfect so no need for the EZ2CY windows or heaters this year! We had the original 'Grinch' soundtrack playing on the CD, of course. |
Most of the other boats use loud gas generators to power their string of lights. We simply plug into a 1000 watt inverter that runs off of the battery bank for quiet, safe 120v power- yet another advantage of electric boats! |

West Palm Beach Home Show |

Sure, it's a home show, but the Lear is as much an extension of your living room as it is a boat! With comfortable couch like seating, fine wood furnishings and detail, a fabulous sound system, wet bar/fridge, and a 'bathroom' down at the end of the hall, this boat qualifies! EPower Marine had the only 2 boats in the entire show, and we were happy to be in the 'Green Pavilion' hosted by Florida Public Utilities Commission. |
